Anthony obtained a Bachelors of Law Degree (London) in 1975 and qualified as a Barrister of Law in the United Kingdom in 1976. He was called to the UK Bar and the St. Lucia Bar in 1976. Before taking on the role of Consultant with McNamara & Co, he served as a Senior Partner in the firm and headed the litigation department. Anthony practiced extensively in the areas of divorce, employment and insurance law. He has been recognized as one of the leading employment lawyers in the St. Lucia, having been a member of the Government appointed Task Force which drafted the Labour Code (Labour Act) for consideration and enactment by the Government. Anthony was regularly involved in Labour matters before the Labour Commissioner and has appeared and successfully represented clients in numerous matters before the Labour Tribunal involving a wide range of issues and provisions under the Labour Act. He was elevated to the rank of Queen’s Counsel in 2002 (now King’s Counsel).
